"Shen Yue" as "Dong Shan Cai"
Shen Yue was born on February 27, 1997 in Wugang, located in the Hunan province in China.
In 2014, she enrolled at Hunan Normal University. During her second year in college, her photographer friend posted a photo of her online, which attracted the attention of her future agent.
In August 2017, Shen had small roles in the period drama The Autumn Harvest Uprising (秋收起义) and the romantic-comedy, fantasy Let's Shake It (颤抖吧，阿部！).
She was selected for the female lead in the school drama A Love So Beautiful, which began airing on November 9, 2017.The same day, Shen attended a press conference in Shanghai to announce her role as Shan Cai in the remake of Meteor Garden, which premiered on July 9, 2018.She is currently set to star in Another Me, a television drama based on a film.
"Dylan Wang" as "Dao Ming Si"
Wang was born on December 20, 1998 in Chengdu in the Sichuan province of China. He graduated from Sichuan Southwest College of Civil Aviation.
In 2016, he won an award at the "Sichuan Campus Red Festival" (四川校园红人盛典), a ceremony sponsored by several universities and colleges.
In June 2017, Wang began appearing on the Youku variety show Super Idol (超次元偶像) hosted by He Jiong. Wang appeared in Harper's Bazaar China with his Meteor Gardencostars Darren Chen, Connor Leong, and Caesar Wu in November 2017.
At a press conference in Shanghai, it was announced that Wang will portray the male lead, Dao Ming Si. Meteor Garden premiered on July 9, 2018.
"Darren Chen" as "Hua Ze Lei"
Darren Chen was born as Kuan Hong on January 15, 1995 in Taiwan.
In 2016, Chen starred in the Chinese drama Proud of Love as Lin Yu Tang, the childhood friend of Vivian Sung's character.
He reprised his role in the 2017 sequel. His casting in the Meteor Garden remake was announced in November 2017, when he appeared alongside co-stars Dylan Wang, Connor Leong, and Caesar Wu in Harper's Bazaar China.
He later attended a press conference in Shanghai, where his role as Hua Ze Lei was revealed.
"Connor Leong" as "Feng Mei Zuo"
Leong was born Liang Jing Kang on January 3, 1994 in Shenzhen in the Guangdong province of China. He attended South China Institute of Software Engineering in Guangzhou University. In college, he began modelling and filming advertisements.
In 2017, Leong appeared as a customer to Huang Lei's character in Midnight Diner and had a supporting role in the historical comedy Huang Fei Hong. The same year, he starred in the film Cat Lover directed by He Zhi Yi.
Leong began appearing regularly on the Youku variety show Chao Ci Yuan Ou Xiang (超次元偶像) with Dylan Wang.[1] In November 2017, he and his Meteor Garden (2018) costars Dylan Wang, Darren Chen, and Caesar Wu appeared in Harper's Bazaar China. His role as Feng Mei Zuo was announced at a press conference in Shanghai.
"Caesar Wu" as "Xi Men Yan"
Wu was born on October 16, 1996 in Guangdong, China. He was in primary school at the time of the original airing of Meteor Garden (2001).
In November 2017, Wu was cast in the Meteor Garden remakeand appeared alongside his co-stars Dylan Wang, Darren Chen, and Connor Leong in Harper's Bazaar China. Later that month, the cast attended a press conference in Shanghai, where Wu's role as Xi Men Yan was announced.
